The Middle School Resource staff assist students with an Individualized Education Program, or IEP, in being successful at the High School. Students are supported using a variety of learning approaches. We provide support in all areas of instruction such as:
The Special education staff work with all building staff to communicate any specific needs that students may have such as behavioral goals, and we communicate consistently with general education teachers to ensure that students are striving towards meeting the essential standards. We also communicate with support staff, outside agencies, such as Michigan Rehabilitation Services, Berrien RESA teams, speech services, social work staff, Hearing Impaired, and communicate and coordinate services to ensure that we use a team approach to meet the needs of our students.
