During this time of Quarantine:

Students should refer to schoology and check their resource room tab.  There are folders created within that have student’s initials that contain work pertaining to individual IEP goals.  These will be updated weekly. On Mondays AIMSWEB+ will be unlocked for students to take individual progress monitoring.

Communication is going to be very important during this time, as we are going through a shift in our educational process, Thanks for everyone's involvement and flexibility!

  • It will be key to check your email on a daily basis. If you have a certain email address that is being used please let us know so we can send information to you
  • Check Schoology for missing work If you have any difficulty accessing information LET US KNOW PLEASE- We want you to be learning and not get frustrated with your technology.
  • Your teachers are very happy to assist you in many ways PLEASE contact any of your teachers if you have any questions.
  • We will most likely be using face to face via technology, you will need to have a “Growth Mindset” and be flexible
  • Think of these challenging times as an opportunity to learn new professional skills.

In the Secondary Resource Room we service a variety of students with Learning Disabilities, Emotional Impairments, and Speech and Language needs. The Resource Room is a location to work on specific IEP goals and needs for each student.

Within the Resource Room setting foundational skill instruction is provided to help assist the student in meeting the foundational knowledge requirement for each standard. Some foundational skills area’s being addressed are vocabulary, reading comprehension, reading fluency, writing and grammar skills, and organizational strategies. When students have resource room time that time is utilized to work toward bridging the gap between their deficits and meeting the essential standards, working towards IEP goals, gaining skills that deal with transition from highschool to postsecondary life, and strengthening social skills.

We work together to create an atmosphere that brings together students and helps them work on relationship building and organizational skills,  where all students are valued, they are challenged to have growth mindsets, and know that, "Fair is not everybody getting the same thing...fair is everyone getting what they need to be successful" (Kyrza 2011).
