Critical Thinking

Build small empires in this board gaming class that teaches you critical thinking, analysis, and strategy using civilization-building board games from Germany and Europe.  Learn what goes into building a successful nation, community, city, or infrastructure using historical settings, and learn alliance and resource-sharing strategies.

While students will learn about prioritization, analysis, memory enhancement, visualization, and natural consequences, the course will specifically teach how to play the game of chess.  This class will be found under the Critical Thinking category during registration.

Reenact and relive real court trials from the 1800’s from Berrien Springs’ very own courthouse – back when the court was the hottest entertainment in town.  The Berrien County History Center has generously allowed us to use the Old Courthouse for this class too!
