Full Pay Students – Elementary, Middle and High School Students will pay for meals at the district’s published standard rate each day. A student will be allowed to charge a maximum of three days to their account after the balance reaches zero. Once a student has charged those three meals, he/she will not be allowed to charge ala carte items, however he/she will be offered a designated menu alternative. Sample: cheese sandwich, veggie sticks, fruit and milk. This meal maintains the USDA standards surrounding reimbursable meals and will be charged at full price to the student’s account.
Reduced Meal Benefit- Reduced status students will be allowed to receive a breakfast for $.30 and lunch for $.40 each day.
Free Meal Benefit- Free status students will be allowed to receive a free breakfast and lunch each day. Ala carte purchases must be prepaid.
PREPAYMENT SYSTEM- Our computerized system is a Prepay not a Credit system. Students must have funds in their accounts to purchase breakfast and lunch (including Ala Carte). Payments can be made on-line, by check or with cash. Cash must be in an envelope with the student(s) name, grade, and amount of deposit. A minimum deposit of $5.00 is required, and should be paid BEFORE breakfast or lunch. The Middle and High Schools have mail boxes for deposits. If you have more than one student in the district, ONE deposit (check or cash) can be made for all of them.
Parents can access their child’s account balance, view purchases, and make deposits with a credit card at https://www.familyportal.cloud/. There will be a small service fee for each transaction. To set up an account you will need your child=s student ID number, which can be obtained from the school office. These payment requirements will allow your child to eat breakfast or lunch at school and will speed up our service during our meal periods.
ALLERGIES-If your child has a food allergy, please send a doctor’s statement to the Food Service Department. If you have any questions, please contact Pam Evans, Food Service @ 269-471-8860.
