Spring Production - Wizard of Oz
REGISTRATION OPENS - Monday, December, 1st @ 12:00pm.
Register at cmw.ludus.com. Registration fills up very quickly. *Pro Tip - Register from a Computer rather than a phone.
*Note Registration must be accepted through CMW (link) before registering through the partnership. Space is limited & fills up quickly.
CMW provides theatrical productions for children of any ethnic, cultural and economic background, 1st grade through age 18, in a nurturing, safe atmosphere of wholesome activity. CMW is an inclusive arts organization that believes in fostering the active participation of young people from diverse socio-economic and ethno-racial family backgrounds. CMW appreciates both the similarities and richness of differences among people and supports inclusion to advance social unity throughout the communities it serves. We help children build confidence and self-esteem, while learning teamwork and the joy of expressing themselves through dance, music and drama.

- Rehearsals: Saturdays 10am-2pm and/or Sundays 4pm-7pm**
- Location: Rehearsals are at First Congregational Church, 2001 Niles Ave., St. Joseph, MI.
- Tech week and performances will be held at St Joseph High School Auditorium
- Format: In-person
- Do NOT register your child if they will miss any tech rehearsals or performance dates. NO Exceptions
- Tech Week: Sat. April 4th, 10am-2pm & , Monday, April 6th-Thursday, April 9th, 4pm-8:30pm
- Performances - Friday, April 10th @7pm, Sat. April 11th @7pm, Sunday, April 12th @3pm
Registration must be made with CMW directly AND through the partnership to be considered fully registered.
Please note: CMW registration is based on a first come first served basis on the CMW website, NOT with the partnership. You will receive a confirmation via email from CMW when registration is completed. Early Registration is recommended, space is limited.
An administration fee of $35.00 per student is required to reserve your spot and is non-refundable if your student withdraws from the program.
Students must audition, rehearse and perform a full show for Children’s Music Workshop.
Important Information:
- Space is limited and our previous shows have sold out within hours of opening registration. Register as soon as possible to ensure your spot in the show.
- Registration is $275 and includes a production t-shirt & script.
- Registration ensures your child will be in the cast.
- Auditions will determine what part they will play.
- Rehearsals are held on Saturdays from 10am-2pm &/or Sundays from 4pm-7pm at First Congregational Church in St. Joe.**
Homeschool Class Details:
Class #1: Virtual Parent & Performer Orientation*
Monday, January 5 (Time TBA)
This required Zoom session is led by the CMW Homeschool Parent Liaison and the CMW Artistic Director. It will include educational content for student performers. Parents will learn key program policies, and performers will engage in an introduction to orientation expectations and theatre vocabulary.
*This session is considered the first official class of the semester.
Drop Policy & Payment Agreement
Due to the nature of musical theatre (which includes orientation, audition preparation, and casting), and because of the high demand for CMW programming, all homeschool-enrolled performers must confirm their commitment to the CMW Homeschool Parent Liaison and CMW Artistic Director, by Tuesday, January 6 at 5:00 PM.
- Families who choose to withdraw AFTER this deadline WILL BE responsible for the full $275 registration fee, charged directly by CMW.
- By registering for a CMW production & signing off on the online registration forms, families acknowledge and agree to this drop policy & payment agreement.
Class #2: In-Person Performer & Parent Orientation

- Location: First Congregational Church, St. Joe
Class #3: In-Person Auditions
Saturday, January 10 | 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
- Audition times vary by age group.
- Details will be shared in both Class #1 & #2.
Class #4: First Rehearsal
Sunday, January 11 | 4:00–7:00 PM
- All rehearsals until Tech Week will be at First Congregational Church, St. Joe.

Tech Week:
- Saturday, April 4 | 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
- Monday–Thursday, April 6–9 | 4:00–8:30 PM
Performances:
- Friday, April 10 | 7:00 PMS
- Saturday, April 11 | 7:00 PM
- Sunday, April 12 | 3:00 PM
Performer Call Time is 2 hours before each performance.
PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER IF YOUR CHILD IS UNABLE TO FULLY ATTEND TECH WEEK OR ANY OF THE THREE PERFORMANCE.
**REHEARSAL DATES/TIMES MAY CHANGE AND WILL NOT BE FINALIZED UNTIL AFTER AUDITIONS. ALL SCHEDULES WILL BE COMMUNICATED BY CMW VIA EMAIL & PRODUCTION FB PAGE.

*Please note: it is important to make as informed a decision as possible when choosing your student's Community Resource classes. Most locations will allow a student to drop a class after one meeting, at no charge if it wasn't a good fit for the student, but not all. Some classes plan ahead based on the number that have signed up and have purchased materials, hired teachers, etc. and there might be a fee for class time or materials given to the student if the student drops after one or two meetings. The school cannot pay for classes that students do not complete, so choose wisely; if you do not take the class off of your student's schedule by the deadline, you may be asked to pay for the class time incurred prior to dropping the class.
