Kindermusik Young Musicians

Wednesdays September 4 - December 18, 2024 (no class November 27)
Ages 5-7
Semester/Level 1 4:15-5 pm
Semester/Level 3 5:15-6 pm
Semesters 1 & 3 offered in the Fall, Semesters 2 & 4 offered in the Spring. Classes are cumulative, students must complete each before taking the next. KM Young Musicians serve as a prerequisite to private music lessons. Students learn to read music, basic rhythms and develop music fundamentals through hands-on activities in a small group setting.
Description
Kindermusik Young Musicians is a pressure-free, small-group class where students can develop a
strong musical foundation by learning the concepts, language, notation, and vocabulary of music and its greatest composers. Geared for younger children who are eager for the first experiences with musical symbols and instrument discovery, but are not yet ready for formal lessons and traditional music reading with the instrument.

*Please note: it is important to make as informed a decision as possible when choosing your student's Community Resource classes. Most locations will allow a student to drop a class after one meeting, at no charge if it wasn't a good fit for the student, but not all. Some classes plan ahead based on the number that have signed up and have purchased materials, hired teachers, etc. and there might be a fee for class time or materials given to the student if the student drops after one or two meetings. The school cannot pay for classes that students do not complete, so choose wisely; if you do not take the class off of your student's schedule by the deadline, you may be asked to pay for the class time incurred prior to dropping the class.
