Mrs. Annette Thomas Honored with the One Berrien Above and Beyond Staff Recognition Award
for December
Berrien Springs Public Schools is excited to announce that Mrs. Annette Thomas, a Title I Paraprofessional at Sylvester Elementary, has been selected for the “One Berrien Above and Beyond” Staff Recognition Award for December. Ms. Thomas is one of two recipients of this award for December.
This award honors BSPS staff members who consistently demonstrate exceptional dedication and go above and beyond, supporting students, colleagues, and the community.
Mrs. Thomas exemplifies this commitment through her efforts to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for her students, and supporting staff positively by anticipating needs before being asked. She sets high expectations and consistently helps students achieve their goals.
Her dedication supports a welcoming and joyful environment that positively impacts everyone around her. A colleague described Mrs. Thomas as an innovative problem-solver, a positive role model, and someone who goes above and beyond every day.
In addition, Mrs. Thomas consistently goes the extra mile. She dedicates her time and resources to creating a welcoming atmosphere for students, such as decorating the Title classroom area for holidays and purchasing holiday costumes to greet students every day.
