BSPS Announces One Berrien Award Recipient Morgan Paustian

Mrs. Paustian supports nearly every employee across the district. While her role may not always be visible to students in the classroom, the impact of her work is felt throughout the entire district.

Mrs. Paustian is known for how she approaches her work each day. She responds without hesitation, without complaint, and always with a positive and helpful attitude. Everyone who walks into her office is treated with respect, professionalism, patience, and kindness.  Her role often involves complex payroll situations, supporting full-time and part-time staff, seasonal employees, Edu-Staff employees, and a variety of schedules. Whether answering a quick question or working through a more complicated situation, she consistently makes herself available and supports staff across the district.

A colleague shared, “While her job is not on the front lines of education, what she does and how she does it impacts all of the employees in the district. At times, that may mean scheduling her days off around payroll dates or even working on snow days to ensure payroll is processed on time.”
