Arts and Athletic Center Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Berrien Springs Public Schools host the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting events for the new Arts and Athletic Center (AAC) Facility on September 8 & 9                                  

BERRIEN SPRINGS, MI - Berrien Springs Public Schools hosted a grand opening and a ribbon cutting event to commemorate the new Arts and Athletic Center (AAC) completion. Events were scheduled on both Thursday, September 8, and Friday, September 9.

On Thursday, September 8, the district hosted a live radio broadcast from 6 to 9 a.m. on WSJM 94.9 News Talk & Sports with Jonny Reinhardt. Live interviews with staff, students, and other guests will be featured throughout the broadcast. Building Tours began after the school day, from 4 to 7 p.m. Students and staff led guided tours and share fun facts about the facility.  The district planned several activities in each main space and classroom to help visitors fully experience all the Arts and Athletic Center offers. The High School Jazz Band performed two songs in the new auditorium.

On Friday, September 9, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held in the lobby of the Arts and Athletic Center.  The ceremony featured remarks from the Board of Education, district administration, the bond leadership committee, and other project leaders. The Berrien Springs Bel Canto Choir performed "Glorious" under the direction of Choir Director Carrie VanDenburgh. The official ribbon cutting served as the capstone event of the evening.
