Mars Elementary Car Pick Up and Drop Off Procedures and Safety Information

Mars Elementary has implemented new procedures for car pick-up and drop-off for the 2024-2025 school year to ensure a smoother and safer process for all students. Please familiarize yourself with the updated guidelines and follow the designated routes and times. Your cooperation is appreciated as we work together to enhance safety and efficiency.

CAR Drop off / pick up area is located in the community center loop off of Sylvester Ave near the Discovery Academy. The map of the area is shown below. Please do NOT drop off your students in the front of the school building unless you have a need to come into the school building with them.  Please refer to the video for further details of car drop off. 

Bus Drop off / pick up area is located in the front near the main entrance.

IMPORTANT Safety Procedures for car drop off and pick up.
* Please take pictures and give hugs at home or prior to coming to school.
* Parents will NOT be allowed to park and get out with their students in the drop off line or anywhere in the drop off area. The line must keep moving. Mars staff members will open the doors for your students.
* Parents will NOT be allowed to enter the building in the car drop off or pick up area. All parents and visitors must sign in at the main office if they need to come into the building.
* Please remember to avoid dropping off your students in front of the building as this area is reserved for school buses and school vehicles.
*Please have students ready to exit the vehicle as soon as the staff member opens the door.
*Students must exit the vehicle on the sidewalk (passenger side), NEVER on the driver’s side of the car.
