Ms. Wendy Badeau Honored with One Berrien Award Above and Beyond Staff Recognition Award
Above and Beyond Staff Recognition
The One Berrien Above and Beyond Staff Recognition Award was created to honor Berrien Springs Public Schools (BSPS) staff members who consistently go above and beyond to support our students, schools, and community. This program is open to all staff, including teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff, administrators, bus drivers, custodians, food service workers, professional staff, secretaries, and anyone serving in the district. This award is given out monthly throughout the school year.
Yesterday, at an all school assembly, we had the privilege of presenting our first award recipient. Berrien Springs Public Schools is proud to announce that Ms. Wendy Badeau, a fourth-grade teacher at Sylvester Elementary, is this month’s One Berrien Award recipient. Her dedication to meeting the diverse needs of her students shows her commitment to educating the whole child. She works hard to ensure every student feels supported and engaged in their learning.
Parents have shared how her efforts make a lasting impact. One parent noted how their daughter felt encouraged and motivated by extra assignments tailored to her needs. In the classroom, Ms. Badeau creates an environment where students are actively involved and learn the value of our ROCKS values. Beyond the classroom, she takes time to build meaningful relationships and connections with her students and families and offers support outside of school. These actions show her understanding of the importance of helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Her work is a reminder of the significant role educators play in building relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
Congratulations, Ms. Badeau, and thank you for going above and beyond at Sylvester Elementary and Berrien Springs Public Schools!
The next cycle of nominations opens on Monday, December 2, 2024. For more information, please visit our website at https://bit.ly/3C04h22.
